The Platner Lounge Chair by Knoll, designed by Warren Platner in 1966, is made by welding hundreds of curved steel rods to circular frames, so the structure is also the decoration.
A moulded fibreglass shell with a foam cushion sits on the wire base, upholstered in a choice of fabrics.
