Bimos is a brand of the Interstuhl Group, the German family business that also runs Interstuhl for office seating and Backforce for gaming. Bimos is run as its own dedicated brand for workplace seating in laboratories, production, cleanrooms and ESD areas, and the Group describes it as the innovation and market leader for industrial and laboratory chairs in Europe.
The story goes back to 1961, when the blacksmiths Wilhelm and Werner Link created their first workplace chair, the Bi-Regulette. Bimos has been developing specialised work seating for more than six decades, and brothers Joachim and Helmut Link lead the family business today from Meßstetten-Tieringen in Germany.
All Bimos chairs are tested to DIN 68877-1 and -2 and carry the TÜV Rheinland GS mark for tested safety. Laboratory chairs follow Hygienic Design and are GMP-compliant, cleanroom chairs meet at least air cleanliness class 3 to DIN EN ISO 14644-1, ESD versions dissipate charges to DIN EN 61340-5-1, and Bimos gives a 10-year guarantee.
